Lorries/Scrapping/New Chassis

I have been looking at sitting my lorry on a new(er) chassis. As I have a very limited budget thought I would be able to pick something up for up to £1000, but can't seem to find anything. (DAF 45)

A friend of a friend has one for sale said she would get £1000 scrap for it, are they really worth so much to scrap??? that was on a 99 plate with no tax or mot been sat around for a year.

Apart from ebay where do I look for a CAB and Chassis, or if I do scrap mine what kind of money are they going for? Or do I just stick it on ebay as is???

I wouldn't have thought she'd get £1,000 for it unless she sold parts off it. I scrapped my cargo last year, it was a really good runner, passed its test every year, and had 3 months test still on it. I got £325 for it. Apparently the dealer who bought it, said old TK's made £1,000 to go to India, but I wouldn't have thought a daf 45 chassis would make that. Try EBay, I bought my Daf45 cutainsider with 3 months T&T for £920.
