Lorry accident near Somerton - Somerset

Just heard from one of my drivers that an artic has gone into the back of a Bedford horse lorry - hope no-one or nothing has been hurt in the smash.

Ive had an alert of horses loose on a major road....sadly the location of the alert hasnt come through with the message .....fingers crossed its not the same incident.

God this makes me go cold. My friend and I was returning from the vets in July (no horse box or trailer) in her land rover and we were hit from behind by a van. My friend was air lifted to London and I was taken to my own A&E dept.

Five months on, we are still off work and not riding. My friend bless her is doing really well despite her injuries and I hope to return to work in the New Year.

My fear now is exactly what has happened to that Lorry, I had no fear of towing and have travelled long distances, now I will stick to A roads as I'm petrified of motorways.

I was considering having bright fluorescent strips put on the rear ramp, but it these idiots cant see a bedford lorry what chance does a trailer have?

There was nothing I could see in local paper etc so can only presume wasn't serious (I hope).
