Help please!

I have a 6.5 tonne renault messenger, n reg, i'm not sure of the voltage, do I just need to just look at the battery?! I don't think its 24 volt as its only little. It does not have a leisure battery (yet).

Any help would be amazing!!

It has one battery, like a car, but although I use the isolator nearly every day I have to admit I haven't looked at what it is!

If it says 12v on the battery then I guess thats what it is? My friend has a 7.5 tonne and has two big batteries on hers, does that make it 24v?

Most 24volt systems use two 12Volt batteries. This is called Connecting in series it means the voltage doubles and the amperage stays the same.

If the positive of battery one is connected to the negative of battery two then you are 24V

then the negative of battery one is the 24v -neg

and the positive of battery two is the 24v +pos

This how my tractor is wired.

If this is too confusing in the morning ;) look at one of the bulbs, they will be stamped with the voltage.
