lorry downgrading question

quick lorry question! has anyone downgraded their lorry?
im looking at buying a 5ton and downgrading to a 3.5ton,
can anyone tell me the process, or any websites that tell me, and if you have had it done how much it costs.

if you are downrating a 5 tonne please watch your unladen weight. you may end up with very little payload.

Sorry not much help but I'm interested in this too but other way round i.e how to return a lorry previously 5t but downgraded to 3.5 back to 5t.

The law has changed and you can no longer down grade.

if you phone SV tech they will tell about upgrading and ungrading.
But with downgrading I would be surprised if you would have wnough payload to carry a horse as the chassis would be bigger and heavyer then a 3.5 tonne

when did the law change peternatt?? i didnt even know this kind of thing could be done, and was confused to how it could be, didnt know there was a law! ohhhhh best tell someone i know who is wanting to do it too!!
ill jsut stick with the 3.5ton i think!!! i understand what your saying equestrivan about the chassis.
back to the drawing board on this one!
