I am trying to decide which is best, sealed eva floor which appears to drain between ramp and body or lift up floor with drainage holes. Both would have aluminium underneath.

Manufacturers seem to differ in their recommendations. One tells me that sealed is best as urine will rot the underside of the lorry if drain holes are used. I can’t see how draining ‘naturally’ will avoid that either. Also the sealant will possibly loosen with the weight of the horse and let urine between eva and metal.

I am not asking about how to build a floor safely just the drainage.

Thanks

I would go with drainage holes. Urine will rot the ramp hinges if the only output is the ramp - and will be more of a pain to brush/swill out.
