Hiya does anyone know of any self-hire lorry hire places in lancs? Also do you know if it possible for a diabetic person to drive one?

I don't know about being diabetic, but I would think as long as you hold a valid license then it should be ok.

If you are on insulin, there are special requirements to drive a vehicel over 3.5 tonnes, to ensure you are aware of risks and recognise symtons or an approching hypo. Normally 6 mths after starting to inject insulin, then dr's assesment.

Any insurer must be notifed you have diabetes, as must DVLA, if diet only, or tablets, no porbelm wiht any vehicle licence.

they have lists of self drive but as Lcobby says anything other than a car a diabetic won't be able to drive if on injections that's the DVLA rules.
