Lorry or Trailer

Both my boys are big, one at 16.2hh and the other at nearly 17hh and am having a slight disagreement with my Dad over lorry or trailer.
He is all up for getting a lorry again (last one a complete nightmare) only because he likes taking them apart

The problem is it would need to be under 3.5t but am seriously struggling to find one big enough.
I would prefer to go for a nice Ifor Williams 510 but that means we'd have to pinch his Discovery to tow it with or get him to do it hence why he keeps looking for a lorry

I only really need it for the 17hh one and my friends horse or filly.
Any recommendations please

I don't think you're going to get a 3.5t lorry that will safely carry your two without going seriously overweight, even if you do find one with enough space.

Id go for a trailer as a 3.5 ton lorry will be over weight.

Echo everyone else - you will be overweight in a 3.5t lorry. I can only just carry two larger horses in my 4.5t lorry and be within the weight limit. (Or I could if it was powerful enough, anyway lol)

That's what I thought. Dad only wants another lorry so he can take it apart again

My two would'nt be in the trailer together as the 16.2hh is semi retired but my friends 15.1hh would or her filly who will eventually make about 16hh -17hh??
Think I should sell the 17hh one and take up riding the shettie
