Lorry plating in Warks/Leics

Does anyone know of anywhere decent and reasonable in the Warks/Leics area where I can get my lorry plated?
I'm about as mechanical as a crisp and I really don't want to get shafted....

I used Diesel Power Services in Barwell for mine. Good service and easy to deal with, they even pick my lorry up and deliver it back when finished! Know several others who use them and are happy.

I would take it yourself, at least then if it does fail on something you know you aren't going to get ripped off by a garage making stuff up.

Can you just book it in direct at a station then and bypass the garage?
I'm a complete novice at doing stuff such as plating lorries etc

Yep you can, phone up VOSA book it in and take it yourself - I think the test is £48. They are really nice there and if they find anything minor wrong with it they let you fix it there, or if you can't fix it you get one of the other lorry drivers to do it for you. I've taken mine in myself for the last 7 years and I think I've saved a lot of money doing it that way.
