Lorry Provisional Licence

Dumb question, but do you have a time frame on when a provisional for a lorry (either class C or C1) runs out and you have to reapply for another provisional/do your test?

Yes I'm sure there is... If I remember correctly its valid untill you are 45 when you need another medical to apply again. If you have had the provisional entitlements added to your lisence already on the back of the card part it will tell you when those entitlements expire.

Ah ok, so its nothing like 2 years or something like what it is for theory tests. Thats ok then, thanks.

After 45, you then have to have a medical every 5 years

Yes, it is 2 years - you were thinking right!

I had the provisional category C on my licence for 2 years, but i havent taken the test, so it has expired and i now have to re-do the medical and theory to get the provisional on my licence again.....

But the above poster is probably right regarding re doing your medical you've got your full lorry licence
