Not a good day. Just went to load pos into lorry for trip to farrier and ramp made dreadful noise. It is now jammed and teh hinge area seems to be buckling. Chap coming to look tomorrow....I scent a big bill...anyone ever had this prob and did it cost a lot????

i know of someone it happened to, it came down on her head and she ended up in a wheelchair. so, whatever it costs in ££s, it could have been more...
just check that no-one has put it up by hand by mistake. that's what happened with hers...
hope it doesn't cost too much.

Only the other weekend we had unloaded horse at stay over show , started lorry so as not to burn out battery, pressed the up button and it jammed on :O
Went up as far as it goes and when it couldnt go any further you could smell the burning of the motor- yuk.
pressed the down button and it went down but the minute you let it go it went straight back up. It looked like a ramp possesed!!
Eventually it burt out in the up position (having drained the battery as we turned the lorry off so it would stop going up and down) .
After going to horsebox hospital it was a few hundred pounds to get a new motor and we got a snazzy pull away cut off cable incase it ever does it again.
Poor lorry - at least the horse wasnt inside at the time
