Would you consider loaning/taking on a horse that has had loss of use?
I no the horse in question and all about the limitations due to the injury! Is it a bad idea ?

Well diagnosis is hacking, flat work and maybe a little jumping which is fine for me as i love dressage! Will still be able to compete up to elementry and was schooling medium before injury! Such an easy horse in all other respects (:

May sound a little harsh (I do have a big heart honestly) but No it wouldnt put me off at all as you are loaning not buying.

If the horse is what you want and you know its injury and limitations, no I wouldn't think twice about it.

If you were buying, of course the price should reflect the horses' capabilities and if you were to sell on you'd have to price him accordingly as well. I've put my LOU mare up for a sale a few times since I bought her when I've had financial trouble (couldn't go through with it though) and had plenty of interest from RC homes; it shouldn't be a big problem at all really.
