My friend lost her 2 Rotties yesterday :-((((( - please please be on the lookout for them as they are lovely dogs. If you see them, either PM me (preferably) or contact the dog warden :St Albans dog warden 01727 81 93 71

Quote from my friend:

Yesterday afternoon we lost 2 of our dogs Bru and Pip in Colney Heath St Albans. Bru is male, neutered, and with a docked tail. Pip is smaller longer coat and with a tail. Please if you see them ( they may be separated by now)

These dogs are loved and adored and have never been lost/run off before. Both of them are rehomed rescues and have a fantastic home and space to race around with lovely owners so I am desperate for them to be found and not end up on the streets again :-(

BTW the reason its worse is i now live 550 miles away and cannot help their owner with the search on the ground!

They did! Not sure where they got to yet but so pleased they are both safe and well. They are lovely dogs, and generally very well trained considering their owners took them on as rescues and hence didnt get to do puppy training. I think they went on an adventure (hopefully a once in a lifetime one!).

Just to update - the dogs didnt get very far down the dual carriageway before someone reported to dog warden and they picked them up :-) and took them to a kennels in Bedfordshire who have Rotties. When they were picked up by my friends (and they have since been chipped Im pleased to say!), the kennels owner was really complimentary about just what lovely dogs they were and didnt charge them the full whack of 'recovery' fees :-)))))

The much loved doglets are now safe back by the fire and with their bones :-))

so glad they got home safely... some years ago, BIL lost his male stafford who went off after a pheasant. Got him back from the dog warden 5 hours later. Had been found by a farmer.... being herded by the sheep. Dog had managed to lose his collar but was thankfully chipped. SIL and BIL went through an incredibly stressful 5 hours as dog was entire and of course, being a stafford (and a very good one) would be a prime target for theft. The upside was that Alfie NEVER ever again went off after something. Also showed that all the massive amount of socialisation and training paid of. Can't think there would be many dogs who would let sheep herd them!
