Hello Guys
Brought pops in from field last night and she has lost a shoe ! We think it has been sucked off in the mud. Anyway she is fine but I have never had a horse loose a shoe before (lucky) so rang my fab farrier to ask him to come out asap and just refit the lost shoe and give the back ones a trim and fit two new shoes as usual as she was due to be shod in two weeks anyway so no big deal. (she is only shod on the front two). she is also fine - not foot sore or lame
Anyway - I just wondered what people do in this situation - I wont ride her with only one shoe but some people on yard said they might - some said they would have waited until farrier was due in two weeks - some said they would take other shoe off - some keep in stable until farrier came.
Just wondered what all you guys would do ? Farrier due tommorrow so will just turn her out in a dry flat field for today and keep her in over night.
It amazing that so many would do stuff differently!
