my boss was walking his dog yesterday afternoon when this rather lost, cute little black and white patterdale terrier came up to him. It was in the middle of nowhere and was out of puff and hot. We rang the dog warden...no answer, rang the number on his collar for pet id... now belongs to some woman in surrey!!! Rang police to report we'd found it, they said they could put him in the kennels overnight.
I decided to take him home with me and continue the search this morning. He ate well, drank well and mixed with our other four dogs (to be honest i was almost wishing that we couldn't reunite him with his owner.
This morning i rang the dog warden again and a woman had just reported 'Spud' (how cute is that name) missing, he had very distinctive markings and 2 collars on (although he had lost her phone number tag!!!) and she described him to a tee.
Sarah his owner just picked him up (he went crazy happy when he saw her and it turns our that i already know her)
both dog and owner were seriously happy to be reunited, and i have a warm fuzzy feeling inside
