Went for a walk today with Mika and Flyn during our dinner hour, Sarah my friend took her dog too - same walk we've been doing for weeks. Anyway he's run off - vanished into thin air which is completely out of character for him.

Here's a description

Mutley - 1 year old, red grizzle Border Terrier
Neutered and microchipped, wearing a red collar
Last seen at 1pm today near Northern Racing College/Mount Pleasant Hotel/Rossington area of Doncaster

£250 reward

Contact Sarah 07554 442696 or Northern Racing College 01302 861000

If anyone can help - knows anyone in the area etc we'd be grateful, Sarah is obviously distraught.

Tried the local dog rescue, police, been round to RSPCA, dog wardens, vets and no luck

We have been looking for him all afternoon and no luck, Sarah is really upset so if anyone knows anyone in the area could you please ask.

Thanks

Is he a hunter, could he have gone down a hole after a rabbit or fox? Put his details on Dog Lost, they have nationwide coverage and will help with posters etc. I would keep pestering dog wardens, RSPCA etc, and perhaps give them a picture of him. Fingers crossed his is just off having fun and will soon turn up.

Agree you need to keep pestering - sometimes the pounds etc have the dog but the records haven't caught up. Would also call all the local vets and police as well. Really hope he comes home soon and very sorry for your poor friend who is obviously distraught.

Great news. Not sure if you are joking about keeping them tied together but please be careful if you mean it. It can work for training youngsters but can also cause nasty injuries.

Someone on this forum got their dog a collar with a GPS chip in it that linked into their phone (it sent a text if the dog left the area set into the google map), she got it instead of an invisible electric fence as she lived on farm and the dogs got run of the farm.
It was comparable in price with the invisible fence, but might be an idea, whilst the dog is wearing the collar it can be tracked via google maps on a phone or computer.
