Hi

Anyone know of a 14.2hh - 15hh forward going but safe reliable gelding to replace Taffy who died yesterday. Cheeky Charlie my Shetland is distraught.
East Mids but will travel within reason

So sorry to hear your very sad news and I know just how you must be feeling, having lost my lovely boy just over a year ago. However, I do agree with the poster above about perhaps looking for a companion.
When I lost my boy, the only thing that kept me sane was spending every waking minute looking for another horse. I bought what I hoped to be my next lifelong friend only 3 weeks later.
However, although he was a lovely horse, he just wasn't for me and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to sell him and he went to a lovely new home just a few weeks ago.
So what I am trying to say, is, give yourself time to mourn your lost boy, otherwise you may end up making a decision you might not have considered making if you weren't grieving.
Big hugs to you and very best wishes.

Ok that's good about the companion.

I would say the same as CeeBee, try not to rush into anything for the sake of filling a space.

(I'm not referring to Taffy as a space, you know what I mean)

Left to my own devices I would have bought the first horse I saw after I lost mine, luckily husband is very sensible and made me wait 6 months. It then took a further 3 months to find her and it was certainly worth the wait.

You are bound to be in an extremely emotional state at the moment, you need time for your wise mind to return
