Hope the link works . Not sure why they are saying she’s Black and Tan when she’s clearly sable , but hope she is found safe and well
Phew.She’s found.
Oh that's great newsShe’s found.
Phew.
Black and Tan seems like a fair description for those of us not up on the finer details of GSD colouring .
I wouldn’t have a clue what colour sable was, and she doesn’t look grey to me.
How often do you come across a GSD on their own ?Just goes to show, eh, if someone said they were looking for a black and tan GSD and I saw her I would say 'not that one then'. I spend most of my life surrounded by grey and black GSDs, she is grey, or grau lol
Glad she's been found, I know it could happen to the Bishop but police dogs are expected to recall on their way to a hold and bark/potential bite/are expected to search when livestock are present so a bit of refresher training might be required!
I’d describe the GSD as mainly black, if I was deceiving a lost dog. I’ve no idea what sable is. It’s like a grizzle border terrier, what’s that to the average Joe.Knowledgeable horse person.
“That’s not a white horse, it’s a grey!”

‘Eh?’
I don’t feel quite so bad that my lurcher and one of the terriers went after muntjac that appeared in front of us , mine did come back quickly thoughIt’s a bit embarrassing that after all that training they can tack off after a deer and vanish.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one that thought this, although the longest mine has been gone for is 2 minutes.
