Well, my mare has come back into work slowly from injury...not as a precaution for her as she is 100%(touches wood) but because my confidence had been stollen! It started when I tried to school in the outdoor, it was a constant battle and I felt like she was never going to be back to how she was. I started to feel frightened (never felt tht bad before) and constantly worried I would end up on the floor. Before her time off we were xc and jumping at comps and done so much together.
Well...today was a beautiful wintry morning so I went with my two friends round the tracks, made myself lead the gang and canter out and she was a star! Not a spook or shy, nor hesitation. So we went in the arena and did some jumps and I have my girl back.
My confidence is on a fabulous high and I wanted to tell people if I can get back to how we were then hope is not lost. It will always be in the back of my mind, for what reason I dont know, but today was a start of something I thought had gone for good.
Sorry for the gushing post but its that time of year people are having a pants time and I wanted to give a little inspiration that there is light at the end of the tunnel xx
