Hi everyone. Was just thinking how many of you(if any at all) got out riding dressed up? I mean elvish,lotr stuff or basically any other stuff. Does anyone meet up with other horsey lotr people for theme parties and things like that? I know its quite popular in Russia,and not just with teenagers,to have lotr or any other themed larp parties/horsey gatherings( well it is easier there,can camp in the forest if you want and no pay or permit). Ha,may think i am a one mad Russian,but i do like the idea! Why leave it only for child's fancy dress competitions? If you would go out, how would you dress up?! I would definitely wear some elven stuff and big cloak

LARP is Live Action Role Play. LORT is Lord Of The Rings
Never heard of this involving horses in the UK perhaps it is only big in Russia

When I lived at a riding school it was next to a large park and the LARPers would meet there every Sunday. The owner of the riding school had a thing for black horses and I was so tempted to borrow one and dress up as a Black Rider from LOTR and gallop through them spreading doom never did have the guts to do it though.
I knew a member of the group and apparently they didn't allow horses, probably for health and safety reasons.

I've been trying to find a LotR costume for ages, so I had to make do with Native American! It was just a photoshoot, but I'd love to actually ride around like it

(Though, if I went anywhere other than that field, I would wear a hat and put my hat on between takes!)

So! Maybe we all can organize big gathering? Its plenty of places around here with great hacking! And make pictures So far we have Elve, indian girl, someone game of thrones style, black rider from lotr,the knight! Keep them coming!
Or i would be Ciri from The Witcher ,if i had a black horse!

When I was littler, I quite fancied myself as a native american with my first horse, he was a big appaloosa, and I used to canter around bareback and draw native american symbols on him with purple spray
