Stupid question probably, but nevertheless, can I feed my boys pears like i feed them carrots and apples? Got a huuuuuuuge tree full of them and just wondered?

Yep, though I wouldn't go nuts with them as they are of course high in sugar, lots of pears will cause runny muck too - nice!
I would bottle them and eat them yourself with custard or cream, yum!

I am happy to feed pears as a treat just like carrots or apples. Mine seem to enjoy them.

ThePony suggested eating them yourself, but if you are into homebrewing, how about making perry?

Pears are the only (& I mean only!) thing ours wouldn't eat.......until yesterday when after 3yrs in his field he decided to smash my landlords fence in & eat half of his pear tree - branches & all.......so yes they eat them lol :)

Peel the pears, keep them whole. Then poach gently in a mix.ture of half red wine and half water, with a grated lemon rind and cinnomen and sugar. When the pears are soft remove them, then thicken the sauce with arrowroot and boil for a minute, pour on the pears and leave to cool.

pears apples carrots bannas are brilliant but moderation - baby may get half a apple in feed with her daily carrot once a week - slightly more in winter but moderation due to sugar :) and she lovees them :) x

Thanks people, I'll start feeding them!
And thanks for all the other suggestions too, including the ones for making perry and stewing them. I am many things but keen to be in the kitchen isn't one of them!
