Lottie bareback/bridleless.... really?!

Sharer went up to at 6am before the heat - to discover all my tack (both saddles/both bridles) were still locked the boot of my car. Oops. But undeterred she just rode without in a rope head collar. And she said Lottie was fab. Super responsive to seat aids, easy to move between gaits, easy to back up. I clearly massively overuse the reins and need to do more of that - but I'm glad she went first!!

In my 30's I used to ride out on the New Forest with just a head collar. She was a lovely comfortable and sane mare with lots of long mane to grab hold of if necessarry. It is a lovely feeling.
