Had a group pole session today with an instructor which is an international event rider, I was really nervous as my 5yo mare is green and not done much. A few friends said the instructor is known to be a bit ‘harsh’ and say it as it is…
She really tried, a lot to learn.. but super exuberant over the canter poles and at the end did lovely long and low trot over the trot poles.
The instructor commented on what a super young horse I have, how she really likes something about her and she has a lot of potential but just needs to learn what it’s about.
I come out smiling.
never had any comments like that on a horse I’ve owned before!
