This morning I received a text from a close friend asking if I wanted to help exercise her horses so I went down this morning and we went for a hack in the sunshine.
It was fantastic! And I really enjoyed myself. Sonny (the horse I rode) was amazing and very well behaved which was lovely :) We rode all round the outskirts of Keighley and on the roads :D:D

It was nice to be able to ride so soon after Paddy had gone! AND i'm allowed to go ride again! Yay! :D

Not much point to this thread, just had a lovely morning and think Sonny is brilliant!

Thank you for reading :D

:D A lovely hack in the sun is NEVER a pointless post :D I will be going out after work........:) Glad you got the chance to ride again x

Too much excitement, obviously, he he! Don't worry, I put stirrup leathers on a saddle today, but under the flap. Wondered why it was so tricky! Only twigged when I came to tuck the leather in the keeper!

Happy photo :) and lucky you.
I don't think I smiled like that on my hack this afternoon. Horse got eaten by flies ..at one point I thought I was off and at several stages I thought he was going to tank off:eek::eek: then got back to the road fewer flies there so a bit more relaxed. Then just as my Friend was trying to convince her horse to cross the very wide horse eating white give way line, along comes a large herd of sheep being shepherded by man on quad bike. At this stage everything was poised for flight but both boys stood whilst the pesky bleating wolly jumpers ran past in front of them. To say I was very relieved to get back in one piece would be an understatement:o On the plus side horse coped really well with everything and had never been that close to a single sheep before let alone a whole blinking flock.. Must hold that thought
