Lovely hack today

Have been really annoyed with myself recently as don't think I'm fit enough for my boy, struggling with my position and just controlling him, but took him out for a long hack today and had a brilliant time.
He was on his toes, jogging occasionally but really listened when I told him to trot steadily, we even had a sem-sensible canter or two.
Plus it was a lovely, brisk day.
Anyone else had a good day today?

I was out for hack today weather fine but a bit cold. We had a wonderful time was out for a 3 hours got a bit lost but just added to the fun of it.

something great about being on a fresh horse warm, but knowing its cold!
Adds to the satisfaction too if within half an hour of finishing the weather becomes abominable!

The same good hack,lots and lots of people though on the local hills with dogs,so not many canters.
