Whent to York sales today with sister and a friend, had a great day out, smashing breakfast (very cheap :) ) Saw loads of nice horses, but managed not to buy any, did think we may have to wrestle friend to the floor to stop her buying a miniature Shetland mare and colt foal :D. On the way home I realised that I had lost/misplaced my mobile phone :( I was seriously annoyed with myself and had no expectation that I would see it again  Borrowed sisters phone to ring the market, just on the off chance and some kind soul had handed it in to the accounts office :) So another trip to York tomorrow to retreive it, how brilliant it is that someone was both honest enough and kind enough to take the trouble to hand it in. If this is you and you are reading this, thank you so much :)

fabulous - i remember a year ago i got a phonecall from a cyclist who had found my daughters phone in temple newsam - hed searched contacts and found "mum" and rang me.

Bless him - he drove to meet us at my local tescos to hand it over - some good peopel still exist!!!:D

Years ago I was working at Cheltnam festival of speed and lost my phone, so kind sole found it and gave it to a police man, who then searched threw and found home, rang my dad and told him that it was the police and before he had a chance to say why he was calling from my phone dad went into blind panic, once police man explained dad told him who I was, he located me gave me back my phone and also sai it would be a good idea to ring home to assure them I was ok :D

I once lost mine in the middle of the woods. Some very kind man found it, called my dad and HE made the effort to return it! What a kind soul <3
What he must have thought of my contact names...some friends had 'fun' with them! Two of which were 'Hamface' and 'Pixie of Boobness'

I lost my phone during an open day at my son's middle school. It was handed to the headteacher who found Dad in the phone & called my 80 year old Dad in Manchester (we live in Suffolk). The headteacher explained that his son/daughter had lost their phone at school & asked which class I was in so she could return it. Dad was most confused as I'm in my 40's & he said he didn't think I went to school! Fortunately I called it & The HT answered & I went to collect it. I then had to call a confused worried Dad 200 miles away to explain.
Glad there are honest people still. Think I'd fear the worse at an auction.

There's some good honest folk about.

That caff is the best thing at the sales, specially the summer BBQ.

Oh and the little sweetie shop! *grins*

I remember a few years ago a friend of mine lost his phone on Formby Beach. Searched high and low for it but none of us could find it. Then about a year later his mum got a phonecall from a girl who had found it- somehow it had survived, so she had charged it up and dialled 'mum'! Quite amazing really, she was stunned to know how long it had actually been there for.

I lost my phone whilst schooling the youngster up in our big field, which happens to be a public bridleway, it was found by a kind soul, aka the youngster :( who:( stamped on it for me!

I found a phone out on a hack early one morning. Me and ladies i went for hack with tryed to ring someone on phone , but it was locked.. I went on my lads facebook and put a found add on there as the phone looked like a teenage girls phone.. I found out whos it was and took it back to the ever so happy mum. She did not think she would see it again. My reward was a terry's chocolate orange yummy hehe.

My friend took out £20 at her local asda this week and left it in the self service hatch.

She went to customers services with no expectations, but some one HAD handed it in!!!!

There are a lot of good people out there, thank goodness :)
