Lovely horse but surely a Clydesdale x?

It does look like there's some in it, doesn't there?

Looks lovely in picture two...picture four gives a cracking demo on how to adopt the jumping position!

I'm in Worcester so I am going to have to sit on my hands to stop me going and having a look- I'm a sucker for a cob!

Is that sarcasm? I'm not being funny (really!) I am a novice and seem to be getting split opinions on what the correct jumping position is, and having watched a lot of professional show jumping not all seem to adopt 2 point...so what is right?

Sorry off topic...It's a nice horse.

If you look they're pulling the horse really quite hard and not folding at all, so its a bad position :)

Deffo got Clydie in there somewhere.. and id be more inclined to say it was a Blagdon rather than a sabino

yes deffo agree with toast deffo clyde x and blagdon in colour cant see the warm blood but then i have a shirex sellesfrancais cant see that either only the shire

Yup I'd say so, I think she's lovely, but would trim and hog, she'd look super smart. Good job I've not got a spare stable!

why would you think they were taking the piss on the price just because its not some flashy blood horse its a safe good alrounder weight carrier good doer worth that money all day long if it passes the vet so no i dont think they are taking the piss with the price at all

Because you can pick up that type for much cheaper - just as good!

But agreed - I would pay as much as need be for a safe one! :)

agree you can pick something like that up much cheaper but i bet it will be a project horse i picked up my girl for a very cheap price have put a years work in now and would ask alot more than i paid so if the horse is safe ect can you really put a price on it it is the type of horse that would appeal to someone who want a safe allrounder i think they advertised it completely wrong

Def a Clyde x with Blagdon colouring........ and lovely!!!! reminds me loads of a horse I used to ride called Victor, who was sold to a very capable (and quite posh) hunting home - anyone ever come across him?

Agree you can pick up similar types for less but my friend has been looking for a cob that sort of size/age in the up to £3k bracket & everything she has seen has had a major issue - active ringworm being one of the lesser ones! If the horse is as described then that seems a reasonable price. She has had to up her budget.

Sabino refers to the genetics causing of the colouring. This is a beautiful bold example it can be expressed more discretely or even more bold than this. Blagdon is the same as a sabino but the former is more likely to be used as a description of the colour particularly when referring to cobs and clydie types.

Definatly looks Clydesdale x to me also seems a fair price if it's a well behaved ,sound alrounder good in traffic etc and from the picture it's has a super safe foreleg technique .

blagdon in colour

Blagdon is the same as a sabino

Whoo-hoo! I did a multi, multi-quote! :p

As Cloball says, blagdon and sabino are the same thing, although I think that it is only in GB that it is ever called Blagdon as that is what it was known as before the genetics were understood (although the sabino gene isn't fully understood and as far as I'm aware you can still only DNA test for sabino1 and not other forms of sabino).

Rider actually looks pretty decent. Suspect the horse too a flyer at the Xpole pic.

I wouldn't be suprised if she's full clydesdale! Spitting image for friends old fashioned purebred clydie mare.

Price looks about right. It's REALLY hard to find bigger cobs! They're cheap and ten a penny up to 14.2 ish but nigh on impossible to find one over 15.2, and well schooled with a decent jump to boot!

Ringworm should have no effect on price whatsoever as it is easily treated.
