My very un-horsey 19yr old son is home from uni for the holidays and announced today that he wanted to ride my cob! So off we set (his first time on a horse) around our village, Merlin cob being so good and gentle and son grinning from ear to ear. I had a lead rope attached to the bridle, just in case, but didn't need it really as Merlin just plodded along next to me. We called on several of son's friends and had pictures taken for Facebook. Just a lovely relaxed afternoon with my lovely boys 
And 15yr old daughter (who has not wanted to ride for last few months as not cool enough!) now wants to ride Merlin tomorrow to show son how it should be done. So pleased
