I've been in my new yard almost a week now- there is hardly any mud, the horses are happy, I have stables and hard standing to bring the beasties to when I need to groom/rug/feed or whatever and I'm really enjoying it.
I haven't ridden anything since Sunday, had the dentist out Tuesday for all 5 sets of gnashers and vet for 2 sedations and a vacc, bought hay, bought straw, got all rugs washed and repaired. I'm just having a nice time being with the creatures without the mud! Taking my time grooming them, chatting to them while they eat etc. Put rugs on for first time tonight as it was chilly this morning, am even really liking their slightly fuzzy winter "starter coats" as they don't look like mountain goats yet. The bays are darker and prettier, ever "dumb as a bag of hammers" Copper is looking good despite his refusal to grow a proper coat.
Pointless post, I just thought I'd share with you folks, you know what I'm on about!
