Low heels after trimming, tendon strain?

I posted recently about the frogs on my ponys front hooves, which are getting better.

I am questioning the way his hinds are trimmed. It is true he has quite flat, broad feet. But the past couple of times I feel like his heels are very low. And yesterday I noticed swelling that looked like windgalls. They aren't hot, sore and he isn't lame. He doesn't work hard, never trots on roads, stony paths etc, but the arena sand can be deep.

Do his heels look very low? Can this strain his tendons? I will see the farrier this week so want to arm myself.

His toes look a bit long to me.

Farriers in general seem to prefer low heels

With all that hair it's hard to say but hind hooves are a different shape to fore what do they look like from underneath?

I don't have very good photos, I could take some later this week. I have the ones below (and a shot from the front).

Sorry it took so long, I took some photos from underneath front and hind. There is some strange lighting on one

I put a few more photos in this album https://photos.app.goo.gl/qGG9Jg9yVupTJN1q8 (yes I know that he is fat!).

He has a sort of defect in his front hooves. They are flat at the front face, and when I bought him he had permanent cracks up the centre and seedy toe. He doesn't have the cracks anymore but the line remains. His fronts flare out on the inside.

It is five weeks since he was trimmed.

Earlier photo does look like possible windgall, sometimes these will disappear under their own steam as it were, sometimes turn into a permanent blemish, but it’s again not uncommon to have no trouble with them at all. Perhaps you could do a bit of reading up, arm yourself with a small rasp, and keep on top of the length and shape rather than wait 5 weeks to alter things? Good luck
