Just after any advice. My 11 year old mare has had slightly runny droppings and liquidy trumps for a few weeks. Put her on pro bio and its all clearing up nicely now. Vet came and checked her over and took blood. Everything as it should be except a low white blood cell count. Vet suspects infection. My horse is fine in herself, maintaining a healthy weight ( she has ems) temps perfect, eating, drinking, toileting ok, not lethargic. I havnt ridden her since i got the results but she has been turned out for a few hours a day which she loves doing. Any advice or any similar experiences? Thankyou in advance xx

Have you had bloods taken from her before? Horses - like humans - have their own "normal" and some do just have a lower or higher count than others. Otherwise the most common cause of a low white count is a short lived viral infection which she should recover from on her own. Has the vet given you a timescale?

Has she been colicky at all or slightly quieter than normal, or lethargic. Mine had low blood count and was leaking protein and it turned out to be IBD, I would not stress yet till your vet re tests in a few weeks and don't add anything unless the vet said ok to do so.
