I've lost a bit of confidence when schooling and my transitions aren't what they used to be and it's really making a mess of canter - I seem to not sit up and my lower leg swings back!
It's making me feel like a beginner when I'm not :(
Any advice will be appreciated - lesson Friday and I want to feel confident. Thanks :)

I know exactly how you feel seeing as my legs do the same thing!

Had my usual Sat morning lesson and this week we decided to work on canter transitions as sometimes she gets on the wrong leg. Well anyway had a couple of nice transitions and everything went well then on the next one I lost my stirrup both legs went to far back which tipped my top half forward almost resting myself on her neck and I was bouncing all over the place lol, Cue me thinking I was gunna come off at this point. God knows how the hell I stayed on but I did lol. I had to use her neck to push myself back up.

Both myself and my instructor both had a giggle about it afterwards but it did scare me and we didnt do anymore, that is for next weeks lesson again apparently and she has given me homework for the week to work on the transitions lol
