Some people have been telling me that my lower leg is insecure and unstable  I mean, what do they know - how dare they insult my riding

I think my position is perfect. What do you think?

:D

Your lower leg is perfectly placed for the situation. The beast of burden is clearly concerned that you are planning to roast him. Tis nearly Sunday...

You must have heard of me, I've competed up to prelim level you know  AND I'm renowned on the sj circuit. I regularly win all the 60cm classes

 60cm?!

Since my last fall I've only managed 40-50 and that's been a push. Maybe if I take up that leg position, I wont fall off as often...:D

I see yours, and raise you this:

:P

Nifty post avoidance though- Fergs looks mightily unimpressed by the situation!

wuss. I mean 40cm is a trotting pole - not big like 60cm! you want a position just like lolo's pic here and you'll be secure and safe as anything :D

perfection! Think your horse is about to take a long one from there, though. You need to work on getting him in deeper to fences

The wind and Fergs were giving dafthoss enough work keeping obstacles under control without me knocking the wings down too ;)

I know I know, I just kept seeing long ones like that and he just encouraged it :P I stayed on, as you can tell from my secure seat and solid lower leg position... (I do like that if you rotated me by 90 degrees, I'd be in a decent position again!). Last time I attempted a 3' XC course on him- this fence was just that little bit too bog for his old bones/ my courage!

Poor dafthoss- I hate being pole picker upper so I clutch the camera and grin uselessly as mum runs around!
