Obviously I will be speaking to my vet (they're great with advice) but just wanted to know if anyone else had any similar experiences- my welsh cob who has been living out for the last few weeks has developed a slight swelling on one hind leg, from just above the fetlock to halfway up the cannon bone- it looks like just a filled leg (it's not huge) but it is just one leg! He's normally a complete wimp, but there is no heat, he doesn't care if i poke it, and he's sound (hurtling round the field at normal warp speed!). I did think it could just be something as simple as a bee sting (my dog had something similar last summer) so didn't want to over-react, but a couple of days later no change- he's been in over night with no change, cold hosing does nothing (except make him act like a pansy because he hates the hose!). He's turned out on his own (because he's a bully), unshod, he's just turned 10 and I've had him since before he was 3, and he's never had any issues before.
Anything else I could check before speaking to the vet?
