Evening all.

Due to The storm flattening out fence line and a fencer being a pain in the a$$ and slow like a snail, we are having to use one of the paddocks supposed to be on 3 months rest ie Dec Jan and Feb. Well the top one rest is now really struggling and we won't put hay out due to the mess after as paddocks are not huge. We put Brix out as they leave no mess, but my mare has gone all spookie and reactive. The only thing I can think of which has changed is the lucie brix. Normally one a day and over night, but I put one in at 9am and 1 in at 12. The last few days she has gone all spooky and reactive and untrusting. (no ulcers or anything she does this with certain groceries)

One of my horses is allergic to lucie and alfalfa and comes out in bad hives all over as previous 2 livery horses have. Has anyone found their horses behaviour changes on alfalfa???

Tomorrow I will put her in the round pen paddock with meadow brix and see if it is better. Any thoughts???

Yes potentially - perhaps this is a bit woo woo of me but I also think their behaviour changes a great deal with the weather, they must be able to sense the pressure changes with this terrible storm that is about to hit

Horses at our yard we’re going nuts tonight, I’m certain they know!

She normally gets like this with magnesium
but even simply trying to clip lead rope on she hears the sound and she jerks back and goes wide eyed
