Lucinda Green Clinics??

I'm hoping to get into the Milton Keynes one at the end of March. I did it in 2006 and it was great fun and really gave me a confidence boost at the beginning of the season. I'm sure she'll help you loads!!

i want to go on one, but need to sort out brakes first... i don't want to go and be yelled at for stuff i know needs sorting, i want it to be as beneficial as possible! anyway, she didn't like my riding last time, so she'd hate it even more if i was hooleying around out of control...

Just finished one today, SERIOUSLY recommend it, we had a bit of a urgh day on the first day, but today on the XC course was AWESOME, still smiling. She isnt bothered about having no brakes and will actually be full of helpful suggestions. Aot of the exercises she works on have you working on control anyway. I had no brakes today either and didnt get yelled at once

I'm dreading the whole 'brakes' conversation with her! Last time I went ginger beast was in happy mouth snaffle but as he's matured he's 'progressed' to a three ring gag (which has made such a difference!), and we all know how much she hates them.......

I'm sure she'll have her bag of bits available and change it and I will be interested to see what she suggests?!! (I'm sure you won't throw yourself on the floor like KD did!!!!)
Why not go with an open mind and pick her brain, she charges enough so why not make use of the time!!!

I can see why she hates the 3 rings after talking to her the last couple of days...HOWEVER, she does say that there is a horse that will genuinely go well in one, so she wont change it just for the sake of it...she would change it to an english gag.

I've got one of them in my small box of bits....maybe I should practice using it beforehand and bin the 3rings!!!

Well done today, sounds like you had an awesome time!

What did she not like about your riding?! You look v stylish to me.

Did you see on EWW that there's a Bill Levett one at Grange-de-Lings in March? I've heard very good stuff about him.

oh, i'd like some lessons with Bill, he's a great guy.
nickym, thanks for the compliment! i've had some lovely horses, and no stoppers or danglers for a very long time, so my natural position is very, umm, forward and trusting, shall we say, not defensive like hers. she wasn't very polite about it at all! she even said at one point (bearing in mind that my (homebred) mare didn't put a foot wrong in 2 days, jumped everything foot-perfect) that i couldn't POSSIBLY go Advanced riding like that. i didn't have the nerve to tell her i already had...!
i still think she's an awesome instructor though.

yes, i agree!
thanks, will have a look.

ooooh, thanks SO much nickym, i've never even heard of there, looks perfect! are there any other good xc schooling places around this area that i don't know about please?:
will book a place with Bill tomorrow if i can, just pray i've got a jump saddle sorted by then...
