Lucinda's comment about Toytown getting it wrong in the SJ.

I wish there had been more in the press (inc. H+H letters page) about how brilliant it was for Mary King - 46 and mother of 2 to have won silver. All the attention on how Zara 'lost' her title seeemed to overshadow Marys great result.
 
Yeah exactly. I get a bit sick of how much more attention Zara gets compared to the other top eventers. Yeah she does a good job and yeah shes Royal, but so what? I don't think she should get anymore sympathy/coverage/attention than the others.

What Mary King has achieved over such a long period of time is far more noteworthy IMO.
 
well you've all given me an idea, my girl guide unit voted Zara as their top inspiration of the year this year, but I'm thinking about taking them to task and saying, look here, you spotty lot, if you're still as great by the time you're Mary's age, then you'll have something to shout about!
 
Nice one...sort those girl guides out! Agree Mary is an excellent role model and she's done it without a lot of back up when she was younger.. borrowing the vicars pony etc etc.
 
QR - I personally think that Zara's Sj is not her best element, but then I couldn't do any of it so who am I to judge!

Oh - DoftheDerby - your middle pic is HUGE... is it only me seeing it that way? I am on a wide screen desktop and I'm having to scroll across loads.
