Frankly, it was an appalling rescue (and I speak as someone with quite a lot of experience in getting horses out of far worse situations!) By the time he siezes up, he'll be a LOT lamer than he was when being led (dragged) off - with his rug put on incorrectly! I would expect badly swollen front legs with the risk of some serious damage, and stifle injuries!
ETA - it WAS in Holland - I hope our firemen would have done a better job!
