we have been searching for almost 9mths for a horse for my 15yr old son well at last we have been lucky and i think well i know we have found a good one and really this is a message to all those feeling like its a hopeless search keep going there out there!!!
our new man is called Sir Dino used to be evented by a chris ward up to 3* but a few months after the people we brouht him form he had a terrible field injury and almost lost his back leg in wire..so he has been out of proper work for almost 3 years..we were allowed to have him on trial and after a week had fallen in love with him and all he had to do was pass a vetting not as easy as it sounds with the scaring to his hock and his now fear of vets!! Well our vet is great and spent lots of time letting him get to know her and not rushing him and he flew a 5* test..In the last 6 weeks he has won and placed in numerous showjumping class's and even been to the ponyclub area showjumping and eventing days getting a 4th at winncantion in the pouring rain and a 10th over a novice eventing course which is amazing as my son has never jumped more that a 2ft9 course!!!!
So to all of you still looking keep heart and don't rule out the hidden gems....
