When I got home from work mum showed me this picture.
She had taken Hattie (pictured) for a hack leaving Gyp in the barn with the electric tape across the front of the barn. This is how he is kept when they have to be in as he doesn't like to be stabled at the back of the barn.
When she got back from her ride, Gyp was in the stable at the back, the tape was down and a tractor was parked were Gyp should be!
There was a crush on the back of the tractor with gates blocking off the rest of the yard and a truck parked in the other side of the barn. No one was about.
Mum had to put Hattie behind the tractor as Gyp was getting into a right state. Meaning she had to try to open one of these heavy gates and squeeze Hattie passed the tractor. Luckily Hattie is tractor proof and didn't mind it (as you can see).
Then a vet and 2 farmers turned up with their cows. They were TB testing.
The vet said the men had tried to catch Gyp but couldn't (f*ck knows how stressed they got him and how they tried to catch him) but couldn't be she had managed to catch him and put him in the stable.
Now they have permission to use the yard it is in the lease agreement, but not the barns, nor are they allowed to move my horses in the process. Had I been there I would of absolutely flipped.
Mum kept her cool as she didn't want to upset them.
Mum asked the vet to open the gates for her so she could turn the horses out and get out of there way, she let Gyp just follow her and Hattie ( he is used to doing this) as there was not enough room to fit 2 together, but he would of flipped if left there, even for a few minutes. Got round to the field gate and the farmers had left the gate to the track leading to their field wide open! Off goes Gyp, mum shoves Hattie in the field and goes after Gyp who won't be caught, one of the farmers, after mum had yelled ' You could of closed the sodding gate after you', had cut across a field and headed him off and he went back to the yard and into his field.
Did mum get an apology for all of this, no.
I would of gone mental at them, I can not believe they had the nerve to catch or try to catch my horse and move him! Luckily the bloody cows will be moved out next week. Oh and other thing they leave the yard covered in cow sh*t every time they use it
