9 year old APHA mare. Not on hay or grain. Out with two other unshod horses, very peaceful bunch with no argy bargy, that I have seen anyway. 4 months in foal (scanned twice, single foal, all appeared OK)
The lump is just behind her last rib. Not distressed, cannot feel or see any 'head'/ kick/bite marks or cut on the site, the lump is hard (not like an oedema) and does not appear to cause her pain but IS warmer to the touch than the rest of her body.
Any ideas what this may be? Vet is coming by Friday pm to have a look but in the meantime I wondered if anybody has had something like this.
Thanks.
