lump in between tendons - no pain

Any suggestions? Got my old fella in last night to find slight puffiness on his front leg, inside leg and below knee... He is totally sound and isnt in the slightest bit sore. This morning the whole inside cannon area is swollen and slighlt warm - but again - no pain and no lameness.

Ive put him out to see if it walks off during the day but cant think what it might be...

Im hoping he had knocked it but its a bit high for a brushing incident....

Anyone lese experienced a soft swelling like this that had no pain or heat?

My horse is on box rest atm, for a slight check ligament sprain.
He had a lump/swelling about where u described. He was not lame at all, there was a slight bit of heat.

My horses lump was more hard than soft tho.
