lump in the throat !

hi have noticed my lad has a lump just under his throat its causeing him no problems its not pollen related and its probably around the size of golf ball . he,s eating well hasnt lost weight looks mega healthy and shows no signs of not being happy even two people have pointed it out has eneyone else seen or dealt with this thank you

may be worth posting in the veterinary section of the forum, has the lump just appeared? Is it hard or soft?

Golf ball sized is quite big isnt it, you must be worried.

Sounds like a vet job to me just to put your mind at rest

Maybe the vet could tell you what this is.

I once had a horse which got an abcess there. It didn't seem to cause any pain and just burst before the vet arrived.

If it's anything like us the vet will have to palpate it and see if it's anything obvious like a cyst or abscess or decide if it would need further investigations like an aspiration or scan... It could be pretty much anything...

Let the vet have a peek...
