Hiya!

So after weekends came to horse and boom cheek is swollen near bridle area. I have written to vet but while Im waiting can someone calm me down that he isnt dying? He is eating and drinking as usual6a5fc1e5-a402-4815-9c51-ebfbe2e4d159.jpeg

I'd definitely want a vet to look at that, but in the meantime, have you checked for balled-up food stuck in there? Is there any smell from his mouth/nose?

Hiya! No food no smell :( I would suspect he ate bee but still waiting for one of my vets responding :((

There are loads of wasps around me atm, my partner got stung twice removing a nest and also horse flies in abundance. Most likely a bite or sting. If you're insured check whether it covers dental incase it's an abscess or tooth issue.

ETA just seen your post, hopefully he will make a quick recovery.

Hiya! Yeezzz sounds terible. Yeaaa I hope he will be better tommorow. Looks painful :(

Hiya! Jup we gave him antihistamines and today no more puffy cheek! Im relieved as I thought that maybe something more serious but I guess he just ate a bee :(
Silly goose!! But the chances are the vet would usually inject the antihistamine, my boy took an allergic reaction to a sting and had anaphylactic shock!

It was terrifying
