I noticed yesterday a lump on my rising 2yr olds jaw bone, its quite hard and about the size of a large grape (bit flatter tho). He doesnt seem to be in any real pain when its touched, and is eating fine

Any idea on what it might be, not sure if its a tooth, but i think its a bit low, or it might be an absess - any suggestions??

Ive posted a pic here, http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2184200&l=ba15c&id=700855001 ive drawn a circle around where it is but its a bit faint!!

Yes, defo a teething bump. quite normal at 2 and 3 and will go away naturally.

Just keep an eye on it in the tiny chance that it might be an abssess but I would say 99.9% tooth.

The vet said it was an old dental abcess that had ruptured downwards instead of upwards. The dentist agreed. It was like it before I bought him and is now a hard lump. It is simalar in feel to a hardened splint and wont go away.

I am not sure if yours is the same as mine was bought as a 6yo, hes 8 now. I have no experience with teething youngsters though.
