Got in the Nitty pony this evening in the dark and noticed a lump on her knee. On the front of the joint near the top and towards the outside front of the leg if that makes sense.
It's about the size of a couple of grapes, is firm but I can squash it if I press on it and doesn't seem to be painful. She isn't lame and there is no heat. There is no swelling round the joint. Just the bump.
Any suggestions? It was dark and she is very hairy but I couldn't see much that could have caused it. No obvious cuts or grazes.
Is it likely to be an infection of just a bump on the leg? Will look properly in the morning and if needed call the vet. Didn't think they'd be best pleased coming out to that on a Sunday!
