Lump under eye - showing experts

hello, my pony has a lump under his eye which he vet has said is a bone cluster. I used to do alot of in hand showing with him and he was successful.. however when he developed this lump alot of judges marked him down for it.
Does anyone know/reckon if this will be a common occurance? i cant post his pic here as cant get on to Photobucket at work. But can email his pic if anyone is kind enough to have a look for me.

If you could put a pic up it would help, but if you've already been marked down for it then I would think that would continue. I take it the cluster can't be / isn't worth removing?
