Red has a lump on his face, not sure what it is, has been there for about a week or so. Its not fixed, i can move it around.

Also it feels quite hard.

Got dentist coming on 5th Dec with vet to sedate (not my good vets though) do you think wait for dentist or get it checked now?

Piccies:-

Cairo had something similar but on the top of his nose. It was a boil caused by a thorn. Once we got it to pop by putting warm cloths on it and removed the gunk, it soon cleared up with being bathed with warm salt water.

Hopefully yours will be something as simple.

Oh really - was it painful for him?

I wouldnt be supprised if it was this, he is a bit of a rummager!!

Do you think i should get the vet involved or just start bathing and wait until dentist and other vet comes?

No pain and its a little too high to be teeth, plus its moveable and i would have thought an abcess would be attatched to the tooth, ot just an inflamed tooth root.

Thanks for your thoughts though, im grateful of any input!

It has been there for about a week.

He had a virus (cough etc) which he had anti bs for about 3 weeks ago and that cleared up nicely.

Its just one thing after another! Think i will measure it tonight to see if its growing!

Cairo was a little painful - especially when it was squeezed to get the pus out - but he is not the sort to complain.

I left it for a while then put hot compresses on. Once it burst it soon cleared up - this is not the first time he has had one - he will stick that big pink nose in bushes.

I had a vet look at it - but Cairo had a history of cancer and my OH goes into panic mode if there is anything not right with his beloved old boy.
