Lump

yesturday i noticed a lump about 3inches below the stifle on my mare.
at first it looks a bit like bone but when you feel it its squishy a bit like fat, it sticks out quite alot and had what looks like a white scar in the middle. Its not painful at all for her and i can prod and poke it

the vet is coming out next week for my filly's next injections so im going to get them to take a look.

any ideas in the mean time?

How big is the lump? Is it like a giant spot, with a head that looks like you could almost squeeze it, or or it flat?

its about the size of a 50p and comes out about and inch.
it looks like you could squeeze it but when touched its hard squashy if that makes sense lol.
