My four year old has a lump just above coronet band on her front hoof slightly to one side. Vet and farrier not sure what it could be . Farrier said if it were a bit further around he would say side bone but not in the right place? Vet says it could be one of those tumours( sorry can not remember the name ) but we are waiting to see what it does before further investigation ( We have taken front toe clips off shoes to see if that helps? ) No lameness at all at any time so far. Any ideas anyone please or experience of having tumour removed from hoof

Mine had one where you describe for a year or so and one day I thought I would just "blister" it to see what would happen. I smothered it in cornuscresine and a couple of days later there was a hole right in the middle as if a bug came out of it. The lump never went away but it was smaller.

If your horse is not lame and her hoof is not mis-shapen then I would leave well alone. It could simply be an injury where she has been trodden on or trodden on herself.
