lumps on back legs

can anyone give me an idea.
my mare has lumps on her back legs and has some like small scabs on the fetlock and surrounding areas.

there is no heat in the hoofs or legs but they seem to be swelling up. she is out in the day and in on a night..

cant be mud fever as its not muddy i have good drainage ...
i was thinking on the lines of windgalls after reading up on them ..
she has been in rest for a while and slowly brought back in to work .
so im sort of stumped

Mine has scabs and legs started to swell, scabs were up as high as her hocks and same we had no mud, she was also quite itchy. Legs then swelled at hocks, then at fetlock upwards. Thought it might be mites, haven't discovered exactly what caused it but ended up having to call vet as she now has Lymphangitis and needed a few days of antibiotics. So if the usual Hibiscrub/Muddy marvel scab removal scrub type things aren't working you may need to get vet. I tried with lotions and potions for just over a week and then got the vet

Antibiotics seem to be sorting it now

I believe, and I could be wrong here, that one doesn't need the mud, just the 'orrible little bugs that get into broken skin.

How long been going on? Speak to the vet? Hope clears up quickly.

hi only a couple of days.. i will try the hibiscrub and all that first. she doesnt seem lame at all . if no better in a couple of days then i will call the vet..

Once you've hibiscrubbed, get some cream on to stop the little blighters getting back in (I think it's udder slave?).
